If your child loses consciousness or you feel they have another serious injury, you should immediately call 911 and proceed to the nearest emergency room.
Call us immediately if your child has a/an:
Tooth knocked out
Chipped, broken, or cracked tooth
Broken or lost filling/crown
Large object caught between the teeth
Severe toothache
Injury to the gums
Injury to the jaw
Tooth displaced, pushed in or out
The most urgent dental emergency is a permanent tooth avulsion (knocking out an adult tooth). Call Dr. Keta immediately and follow these steps:
Remain calm
Locate the tooth
Hold the tooth by the crown, not the root
If the tooth is permanent, reimplant it into the socket
If you can't reimplant it, bring the tooth to us in a glass of milk
